We went shopping at the book fair at my daughter’s school today. This is some of what we bought.
Some are for her to read now; some are for her to read later. She took Lanie and She’s All That! into her room. I took A Wrinkle in Time and When You Reach Me into mine. I can’t believe that I’ve never read A Wrinkle in Time. That should be remedied soon enough, although it may have to wait until I’ve read When You Reach Me. I’m not sure if I can wait for that one.
I’ve been on a book-buying moratorium — checking out from the library and all that. But I love being able to buy books for a worthy cause. Today’s books were a guilt-free purchase that was good for the soul: something for everyone, something we love. (Even for my son who chose books about Bakugan and Ugly Dolls. I can’t win them all.)
p.s. I finished Hex Hall last night. What a fun book! If you like YA, you should pick it up. Two nights — easy read.
